A 19th century kiln with one pot, built against a bank, with two draw tunnels. It backs on to the large former Blue Circle quarry site. The land around the kiln is (May 2013) being developed for housing and the future of this structure is not known. Sadly, I understand that whilst attempts were being made to have the kiln listed the landowners and developers had it demolished.
